Oh, I don't think so. He'll want to sit in granny's chair, and there could be trouble.
The kid went down to the woods that day to spy on all the teddy-bears that ever there was having their pick-nick.
That little lad did really well. He was very brave.
I remembering a big, long-haired German Shepherd one day when I was about eight or nine. No amount of coaxing would make it follow home.

Dragging it home was hard work but I was sure that mum would let me keep it. Mum wasn't impressed and I had to release my new friend. He ran home.

I was sixteen before I got a puppy

Aww, how lovely! :-))

Brave lad :-)
Well done to that lad.
There is no actual indication that the child knew the bear was behind him.

Most likely the bear was just 'escorting' the child of his territory - the child was lucky, if there was a cub around, the bear could have attacked him.
Correction - I have just watched the video clip - and clearly the child did know the bear was there.

He did exactly the right thing - don't make a provocative gesture such as facing the bear or staring it out.

The bear was not threatened, so not threatening, but it must have been really scary for the parents, bears can really motor when the start to run!
ANDY, he turnt round several times to look at the bear.
Held his nerve well, good lad.
Corby - // ANDY, he turnt round several times to look at the bear. //

Indeed - my initial post was based on one still image where it's possible that the boy did not know the bear was behind him.

My second post, when I had seen the video clip, acknowledges my error.
Oh my...the mums heart must've been in her throat. The size of that thing!
These beautiful creatures often arrive unexpectedly. Our Canadian friends were out berry picking when a big bear arrived. The husband spotted it - and hopped it - saying not a word to the wife. She got a bit of a surprise when she turned around to speak to him. He loves her really. :o)
Having spent a lot of time living in bear country one of the first things we learnt was to always be making a noise. Singing was suggested but after listening to me our friends decided that being chased by a bear was preferable though they did give me a bell to jangle.
If we were to spend any time in the mountains deodorants and toothpaste were banned. Baking soda became my friend... :-)
