I have a subscription to Candis magazine. I received a letter to say it was up for renewal. The asking price is £49.90 per year. But I have always paid £39.90. For some reason they gave me a £10 discount about 10 years ago. But when my renewal letter comes they always ask for the full price. I always phone and complain, they always come up trumps and give me the discount. Today when I rang and explained to a lady she apologised and said I will go one better than that I'll give you 50% off. She was really friendly.
She also gave me a tip, do not respond to first reminder letter next year, wait for final one and I will get my £10 off in the letter.
