Inside baby's nose!

Hi all. Anybody got any tips for removing mucus from a 3 month olds nose. It appears to be quite crusty.

saline nose drops are recommended for babys , it makes the crustiness soften and then the baby usually sneezes causeeing it to come out , or also if you rub your finger down the outside of the babys nose apply a little pressure you can work down whatever is there enough so you can remove it .

a tip my mum gave me was to put the pad of your finger on the soft part on side of nose wand gently rub in a circular motion. This then works the mucus down and out.

You can get some sucky things (technical term you understand!) from Boots etc, either one like a mini turkey baster that sucks out the gunk, or one with tubes that you put one end in the nose, and suck on the other end to get it out (there is protection so you don't get a mouthful of snot!).
Never personally used them so don't know what they are like.

Other things to try would be to raise the head end of the cot, sit in steamy bathroom to loosen it to come out easier, or maybe try some kind of Vicks to assist in clearing airways.

Just had to answer this one - an ex vile revolting bf of mine used to suck it out with his mouth!!

I dumped him the moment I found out - YUK - bad memories!!

Actually, ny health visitor used to tell me that sucking it out was the safest way. I never tried it though - you love your babies like nothing else but there's still some things you wont do!
