Toaster - 2 Slice

I got a new toaster and tried it out this morning but the slots were not deep enough and the top of the bread was sticking out. The bread was just regular 800g sliced and the slots were not wide enough length ways to put the slices in on their side. I'm returning it.

Are all toasters like this as I can't seem to find one one which gives the dimensions? What should I look for?

My grill hasn't worked in a very long time, Ummmm :o(

Same as us. We have never owned a electric toaster in 44 years of marriage.

I love my toaster. I can poach eggs without faffing about grilling bread.

I make sandwiches using sandwich pockets in my toaster which I don't think you can use under a grill.
