Anyone tried it? I feel it wouldn't be Branson without the little crunchy bits.

There's always room for another version, norteveryone likes a lumpy butty.

I buy sandwich piccalilli, which is quite smooth.
Handy if you're mid-way in dental treatment and awaiting new gnashers and are not yet ready for crunchy things.

I'm not a fan tho.
I have never understood why people smother their sugar sandwiches with even more sugary pickle.
We never had pickle on our sugar butties.
Did you not, Mamya? Actually, nor did we. :-)
I think if I ever tried it I'd feel like a right Richard.
Branston
Yes, we knew that.
You need to be careful at the moment, as there's the possibility of finding some unwelcome 'crunchy bits' in all types of Branston pickles:

Isn't smooth pickle just a sauce like ketchup?
I don’t like the large crunchy bits, prefer the small chunk stuff.
Also have a bottle of Branston sauce to use instead of brown sauce, which is ok but prefer proper brown sauce.
It looks rather like that Ummmm from the pictures, they also do a 'Small chunk' version which I would use for sandwiches.
I havn't tried it.
Surely if it is absolutely smooth it is sauce?
I like their Sandwich pickle, it means you may create a sandwich less undulatory.
I sometimes wish I could type more quickly...
I usually buy the normal type of Branston pickle - in a jar with the crunchy bits. Yesterday I bought a squeezy bottle of Branston small chunk pickle. Haven't tried it yet though.
I bought the smooth by mistake once and I cannot describe how completely horrible it was!
