Anyone Else Noticed A Proliferation Of Bees This Year?

Started early in the year, the lupins seems to attract them, then as the Dahlias came through even more came, counted over 30 the other day whearas previous year lucky to see a dozen at one tiem.
Also started to see more Ladybirds which is excellent news.
Still no hedgehogs though which is a real shame.

They will be looking for ways to save money and if this makes them look environmentally friendly too then its a win win. Most areas also have at least one wildlife/environmental group who will be working to achieve this too and its worth hunting somewhere like facebook to find them.
"Still no hedgehogs though which is a real shame. " - one of my dogs caught a young hedgehog the other day. Jack Russell v hedge hog! PMSL he bought it in the house somehow, there was blood, because he got stabbed by the spines! err indoors got it off him and put him out of harms way, he stayed curled up but was gone when we next looked so I think he survived ok.
