As usual, in the trailers for this programme, ITV has spoiled it for everyone. They show JC shouting, “you’ve just won a million pounds.”

If you made a note of the colour of his shirt when he says it, there’s no need to watch that episode. Just check in at the beginning then go and watch something else .

Never watch Millionaire as not keen on Clarkson, but I've often wondered why would anyone want to be in the audience to watch other people win large amounts of money?

Agree with comments about the ruining of 15-to1 with stretching it to an hour and the unbearable Toksvig. With WGS it rattled along, and there was no waffle - he would just come on to the set, introduce himself and we were off...

Yes indeed. I don’t think he’d be happy with the way it’s gone.
Why do the makers of these programmes assume the viewers will be interested in the contestants? To me a contestant on 15 to 1 was interesting if they rattled through the final round. Not if they owned a cat called Quizzo.
But maybe most people like that.

ich, in WGS's day, 15-to-1 was produced by Regent Productions, which was his own company, so since his death someone must have sanctioned the change to one hour. I'm sure he would never have countetanced it - I was on it several times, and he didn't stand for any nonsense!
