Looks like i'm on my own, then. Fair enough:-( Mind you, with all this whizzpopping, i'm not surprised :-)
Loved him.... I didn't realise it was his day today. He (and his granddaughter, slightly) were good friends for a while.
I always enjoyed his stories.Those 'Tales of the Unexpected' were great imo. Wish they repeated them.

Always found him creepy as a kid, when introducing Tales of the unexpected.
A fascinating man with an extensive imagination to capture all ages.

My eldest Grandson loved all things Dahl and I bought him this book to learn more about the author as he was also hot keen on flying.

I read two of his books when I was a kid. Charlie and the chocolate factory and James and the giant peach. Also watched Tales of the Unexpected which I found scary at the time.
