Tier 2 And Funerals.
I am due to go to a funeral on Wednesday.
There seems to be confusion about how many can attend. We are currently allowed 15 attendees, but some parts of the internet are saying 30 will be allowed in Tier 2.
Can anyone confirm either number ?

Unless you are in a High or Higher Area, it seems that current rules pertain. I went to the funeral of an older lady last week and stood outside with about 20 other people for about an hour (very hard on the back) and tried to listen in - those nearest relayed what they could get and someone nipped in and collected hymn books. The outside party sang heartily, the inside ones couldn't. I spoke to a churchwarden the other day and, apparently, outside singing is also verboten. Well, oops!, too late now, but why is Church law so much stricter than national law?
I am interested in the answer because, eventually, I was driven to resign from the P.C.C., not least because of closing the church when the law of the land allowed it to stay open. :(
PS They are trying to get me back into the fold.

The idea is that unless you live in an area in one of the top two levels, there is no change to the guidance so just carry on doing what you're doing.
With regards to funerals, even in an area where up to thirty folk can attend, there might be fewer allowed because at a particular location because there's not enough space for thirty folk.
