And then go a bit pear shaped.
I was returning from the park...walking on a path bordering the park on one side, cottages on the other. I saw what looked like a child's soft toy in the distance...then it looked like a cat...no, it was someone's pet rabbit. Oddly, no visible marks on it...there are quite a few cats around there, but would/could a cat do that?
I then went to the only place I'd seen with hutches in the front garden...I let the woman know...then went back to where the rabbit was, as I didn't want anyone to clear it away. Poor woman was so upset, and just didn't want her children to see it.
Loved rabbit stew when I was young, but like Sqad wine wasn't ever about in our home when I was a child. Wouldn't eat it now. Mixi has totally put me off.
Reminds me of a few years ago of nearly running over a tortoise which was strolling across a side road. I stopped, picked it up and knocked at a few doors....yes, a lady keeps them somewhere down the road. Ten minutes later, owner was delighted/surprised because it had been missing for two or three days.
