Which Bulb?

I’m confused about what bulb I need to buy for my bedroom ceiling. I know I should buy an energy-saving one, but it needs to be fairly bright without being too much like a stadium. Any idea which one is going to be suitable? It’s a standard push in and twist type one.

Spend a bit of money and get a decent bulb like one made by GE.

If you buy a cheap budget one it might look very harsh and unpleasant.
