If you mean really awful, or you have residual symptoms after treatment,there are exercises that can increase your tolerance for movement called Cooksey Cawthorne exercises. Your GP may never have heard of them, you will find loads on them if you Google, but they really shoud be undertaken under the supervision of someone who knows what they are doing, who will probably be a physiotherapist. Good luck, its a nasty affliction.
