BT Home Hub
4 Answers
It is slow (I tested it at 0.1k when it was on long enough to test), it constantly drops out, the free internet talk service does not work and my ordinary phone line is crackly and virtually inaudible when plugged into the broadband filters. I have spent the last week 9and goodness knows how many ) on the phone to almost every BT employee across the globe. Sometimes they tell me I need new filters, sometimes they tell me it takes 10 days for the line to settle (now into day 12 and according to my research it should only take 3 days to settle), sometimes they tell me to reset the hub. Basically I think it's a pile of poo. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was on NTL before, and although they were difficult to contact, their service was reliable. I was interested to hear from other users to see if my service WILL settle down as promised, because at the moment it is almost unusable.
I have a bt business broadband lite line connected to two pc's via a linksys router.
Bt took months - no joke to connect it and then still failed to deliver when they gave me new dates by which it would be connected. They told me in the end that it was a major fault with our local exchange and that it would take a few days to fix.
Since we have been connected we lose the line all the time, it is either a line problem but bt deny this or a linksys problem I have been told that the linksys are known to over heat. I have tried to cool it down with a desk fan to see if it made a difference but no.
I have updated the linksys software, checked all the connections, checked all the settings for the router all with no luck. It continues to kick us off the internet by saying page cannot be found or server not found and we can only get broadband back by turning the router on and off again.. Even the 'saved' settings for the router changed by themselves recently.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
