Smart Tv Or Android

I shall be getting a Sky Q box but I also need a new TV, will will an Android TV work with this set up or do I need a smart TV? Totally lost

All “smart” TVs are Android, as far as I’m aware. Unless it’s an Apple TV.

There's no such thing as an Apple TV (unless you convert a Mac to be a TV monitor I suppose). There's a box which enables your smart TV to get Apple content.

Android tv is just sort of smart tv.
You don’t need a smart tv with a Sky Q box.
However it would seem a good idea to get one if you’re getting a new tv. Pretty soon there won’t be any other sort
