If your area is NW England, you could do worse than Cowman's in Clitheroe.

My OH was a butcher, so I know from experience that award winning sausages are not necessarily the best, and that sausages are a very personal taste, what one person likes, another will find they don`t. People tend to think that the more meat there is in them the better they will be, but again, it`s not often true.

So, my advice would be to check out you local independent butchers and see if you can just buy one of each of their range to try. That way you can find the ones that YOU like.
