I have had a £400 voucher to spend in Argos, so most of this week I have managed to buy some Xmas presents, however the wee girl who got me the voucher (long story here) mentioned glibly that I could have spent it in Sainsburys. But I couldn't see anywhere.

However just an hour ago I typed on Argos site - clothing and right away it allowed me to go into Sainsburys clothing and whatever.

I have another £150 to spend so I will make use of that. Did any of you know that.

Barry on further thinking - if Sainsburys and Argos are together - why can you not buy food.
You can buy food in Sainsbury but you can’t pay for it with the Argos card. Dunno why
I see that Walmarts , owns Sainsburys as well
Do they, Bazile? I thought it was the Qatari Royal Family that had the largest shares
Walmart own Asda
I’ve just checked and Walmart used to own Asda but never Sainsbury’s
Not any more, no, they just have a minority stake having sold to the Isaa brothers in October
I *think* this still needs approval from competition regulators
...and before anybody asks, Lidl and Aldi have never been in any way linked...
My first thoughts: What a generous gift, or is that part of the 'long story' jenny?
