Yes, a homemade volcano.
Not all Sharon but most are. I have loads of them.
Can't you disconnect your smoke alarms?
That could have been the mistake Caran. Moisture in pudding would have evaporated and eventually caused enough pressure build up to literally blow the lid off.
Always loosen the lids.

I have learned my lesson!
Remember having sixpences in Christmas Pud. Luckily we didn't have micro-waves then, or left-overs.

OMG, what if there had been sixpences in it. Could have been a real disaster.
Perhaps your daughter meant for you to defrost it in the MW for 10mins, caran. I don't really know about such things.

I don't think so spicerack. It wasn't frozen when she gave it me. I rang her today to give her a giggle. I got a telling off. She meant me to wrap it in greasproof and just put it in a dish.
Caran. If we ever do holiday together I'll do all the cooking! ;-)
Chuckling away here at 22:46 and 22:54 comments. Thanks for the laughs guys !!
Tony @ 22.59...nothing to do with moisture content.
Anything with high sugar content should be microwaved with care and for short periods only...I thought that this was common knowledge (or common sense!)
