my son is 16 and just started college . I receive working family tax credit . He is looking for a part time job . Will this affect my benefits at all ? Will I have to notify WFTC ?

You would be best to advise them of any changes in your circumstances as they say in their radio adverts.
If he is still in full time non-advanced education Which at 16, is almost certain to be the case) then your entitlement to Child Tax Credit and Working tax Credit (if you get both) should not be affected. You should confirm this by phoning the helpline but make sure you tell them the exact nature of his present education course.
i got when my daughter went to college but you need to inform them. dont forget that you will still get child benefit also but inform them too that your son has started college
