Is there any scientific evidence that astrology actually works (or, indeed, any scientific evidence that it definitey doesn't work)?

One that I can think of off had is where a college professor/scientist/whatever gave a class full of people the same horoscope and asked them to rate how accurate they were. All of the students said that the horoscope fit them perfectly. Sounds like some sort of proof that it's accurate, huh? Nope! They were all given the same horoscope. Of course, that's just one example, but it seems like most studies conclude that the people who believe in astrology simply want to believe or the information they are given is info. that everyone wants to hear about themself or things that are general enough that of course they are going to be true most of the time. Even when parts of it aren't true, if people want to believe, they will conveniently overlook those parts. Although, I'm sure you could find just as many articles that say that it does work, too.
I don't think we will ever find any factual evidence that either belief is true. Like theism, it's really just a matter of blind faith. Some do, some don't.
For myself, the idea that other planets or stars have some gravitational effect on me because of my birth date is so laughable as to be embarassing.
I have more gravtitational effect on my neighbour than any planet. Must remember to go on that diet.
The only body which does have a gravitational effect on us is the moon. But I still don't beleive my brain / chemical composition / personality is different because of the day of the month I was conceived.
You may know a certain author who once ridiculed astrology by saying words to the effect of "What if there was a tenth planet (called Rupert)? Wouldn't that mess up the whole basis of astrology - if Rupert was in alignment with Jupiter?" etc. What do you know, it came true - there's been a tiny tenth (or even eleventh, twelfth...) planet all along, apparently having no effect on these scientific astrolgical predictions.
I don't think many people seriously believe in it any more, anyway.
