I expect Labour to do fine, just not make the usual mid term progress.
Though people are happy to get their vaccine, I am not sure they absolve the Government of any blame for the UK having a particular bad pandemic, 50,000+ more deaths than Germany. And half the population haven’t been jabbed yet, just the oldies.
With Covid and Brexit, many poor people have had a very bad 12 months. Though not directly the Governments fault, voters will want to blame someone.
In the belief that many northern constituencies switched to Conservative at the last election in order to 'get Brexit done', I'd hazard a guess that many will now revert back to Labour.
Local election elect a third of councillors each year.
In 2019 the scorecard was:
Conservatives lost 1,330 Councillors
Labour lost 6 Councillors.

I assume Labour will make some small gain.
They may all end up with a council like ours! Full of Lib Dem’s and Independents joining together to outvote the Conservatives and making a right mess if things! We don’t vote this time.
