Good Morning Early Birdies

My first opportunity in ages to lie in and I'm awake at 03:30. Typical.
Today I'm having my first haircut since lockdown began and I can't wait. I think I'm too old to rock the Rapunzel look.
Mostly my weekend will be spent on ploughing through work backlogs, but the overtime is all going towards the negotiations so mustn't grumble.
OH had his first AZ jab yesterday and now has "man flu" so I've promised him steak, chips and peppercorn sauce for dinner. Bless him.
Have a great Saturday and a wonderful weekend.

We then had an Architect / Building Surveyor round who drew up the plans and then we wrote to both neighbours with the Party Wall Agreement and applied for planning permission. The PP was approved very quickly but the neighbours were dragging their heals. The foundations for the big extension didn't go down until September '19 when my mum and I were in Krakow. We plodded along until March '20 and then the damn pandemic hit. Needless to say everything has been slow-going due to the resulting shortage of building materials and hectic schedules of tradesman once restrictions were lifted.
We'll be ripping out the kitchen and working on the back of the house in about four weeks' time.

It's been a massive undertaking, Emmie, but worth it and it looks even better than I envisaged. Unfortunately he won't let me convert the garage into a sauna, steam and jacuzzi or have an under-stair wine cellar (and he tells me that I will have to divorce him to get him out of this house in the next 20 years) but I haven't given up hope yet ;-)
I must dash now as I have a lot of work to get done before I go and get my crop gathered. Have a marvellous day and enjoy the sun. :-)
