I'm In Agony!

Woke up this morning with horrendous pain in my left foot.
Last time this happened OH kicked me involuntary during the night, I actually felt him do it that time.
I didn't feel him do it this time but the pain is just the same.
I've resorted to using a walking stick to try and get some relief.
It hasn't got any better as the day has gone on.

Perhaps you've got gout.

Last time he kicked me I put a pillow down the bed for a few weeks.
Could it be gout when it is the top of my foot that is sore?

I doubt it, but I'm no expert. Surely he couldn't cause that much damage without you waking.

It is a short sharp jab he did last time, I ended up at hospital last time. Xrayed, no breakage just badly bruised internally.
I may be doing him an injustice this time, but a bit of a coincidence though.

Sounds sore, any discolouration or heat?

Hopkirk - I broke my little toe sleep walking. It woke me up but I didn't feel the extent of the pain until the next day.

Patsy I can't see anything that ties up.
Just extreme pain across the top of my foot.

Yes Anne every four hours but makes no difference.

you could try alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol if that helps.

Yes, gout can hurt the top of your foot.

It's not a stabbing pain, it's constant. I can press on the top of my foot and find the source of the pain.
