Home now. They sent me away and told me there's no point waiting hours for my prescription - come and collect it later.
By 18:20ish no one had called so I called them. I was on the phone for 32m 47s whilst Switchboard tried to put me through. No one one the ward would answer.
The Switchboard lady stroppily asked, "Do you STILL wish to hold?"
"Has anyone actually checked if they have a hostage situation going on?"
Then I got cut off.
As I was in the vicinity I decided to just go there. I arrived on the Ward within 10 minutes. After faffing around they admitted the prescription hadn't been sent to Pharmacy, which closed 10 minutes ago.
Understandably I was very distressed so the Nurse reassured me she could give me enough meds until lunchtime tomorrow from the stock cupboard - and 45 minutes later she kept her word and fetched my meds.
Can't fault my inpatient care but my discharge was a total joke.
On the flip side, there was a very happy reunion between mother and son. ❤
