Thanks to everybody who contributed but clearly most of all to nescio, who was able to find the wood despite an abundance of misleading trees. Rarely have we had such difficulties in reaching the correct conclusion.

Snoopy74's contribution was very helpful. (Solving the puzzle isn't difficult once you know that Q=20 as there is then only a single possibility for 'quotient'.)
