Hermes this time.
I had an Amazon prime delivery due today. The only tracking info was it was due by 10pm...by afternoon it had not yet been sent out for delivery...unusual.
Then the tracking was updated with it now being due tomorrow, by 10pm.
Shortly after I had a text supposedly from hermes...the usual sorry we missed you...please visit here...
h***s://myhermes.delivery-scheme.com
I can't find any reference to this address...and '.com'?
I know Amazon uses Hermes...but no mention in their communication. No, I've NOT clicked on the link.
I think you are behaving very wisely ( can I have BA?)
My sister was caught in this very way
phishing call just after coming in from Xmas shopping
and was almost caught - - - partial card no pumped in before thinking 'ooer what is this?'
The domain name 'delivery-scheme.com' was only registered at 2230 last night, using the same Icelandic privacy service that many other scammers have used to hide their identities.
I'm getting these scams on a daily basis and Royal Mail ones too.
My mother nearly got caught out a couple of weeks ago by a two-phase scam (First caller purporting to be from the Council Tax Deparment asking where she banked because she's due a refund and the Second caller purporting to be from the Santander Fraud Department). Thankfully my dad intervened before she gave away too much information.
I received ascam today from Vodafone, informing me that th3 Bank had refused to negotiate a payment to them.
They offered me a Vodafone link to sort out the problem, which would have involved giving them my bank details.
I would only go by Amazon tracking. On occasions, for whatever reason, the delivery has been delayed, and they have updated it to the following day and it has arrived.
The couriers aren't your problem anyway. If it doesn't arrive, Amazon will sort it for you.
