is it just me? i've been getting about 30 a day of these. saying i have sent messages to people I have never heard of. Norton and spybot say i'm clean so i'm assuming it's someone with my addy that has a virus. It's driving me nuts and some of my real e-mails aren't getting through to me now. is there anything i can do?

(and of course they're not stupid enough to put their own in). Also the virus tends to attack your address book (a worm) and send emails to all people on your list - so if someone receives an email claiming to be from you, the recipient is more likely to accept and read it (and therefore contract the virus)
I have been getting them as well, I suspect that they are being sent with viruses attached, (they always have an attachment). I immediately delete them without opening the attachment, and clear them out of ther recycle bin too. I have also had them purporting to be from my ISP, saying my account is suspended - they are all just ruses to get you to open the attachement, which will have the virus or worm or some other nasty. I do not think there is any way to stop receiving them, you can block the sender each time, but they are coming from many different sources.
