Wasp Nest?
10 Answers
I have an outside loo with a slate roof and backs onto the neighbour's house. It's directly opposite my kitchen window about a metre away.
This morning I noticed wasps flying into a gap in the slates. There are two or three flying in and out every second or so. Every time I've looked throughout the day it's been the same.
I've just noticed that some of them are actually carrying things. I'm guessing they're building a nest.
How worried should I be?
If I need to get rid of it is it down to me or something the landlord is responsible for?
Ta in advance.

You should therefore contact the landlord to tell him and suggest that you will or he should contact the council. If left it the nest will get bigger so is it best sorted sooner rather than later. The landlord will most likely ask you to sort the problem yourself (as in arrange with the council to come and look / sort it) and then sent the bill to him.

I promise it hasn't just started today, you may have just noticed it today and it will be more noticeable as the nest is getting bigger. I don't recommend tackling it yourself unless it is at a height where you can reach without going up a ladder, you are going to need a fast escape route. there are a few products on the market but whatever you use follow instructions and do it late at night when they are sleepy.
I charge 25.00 for such a nest but I know others charge up to 35.00. Good luck
