It would have been better for the country for this to have been an immediate sacking rather than a forced resignation. I'm glad he has gone. Not because of the affair but because of the sheer hypocrisy of the man. His obvious contempt for the public and Prof. Ferguson makes it clear that he can't be trusted and should never again hold a position with any degree of...

//No, I'm a carer. Social distancing isn't possible.//

Then it's not reasonably practical, pixie. For Mr Hancock it was.
I would just be surprised that all the tests they have handed out, don't also apply for themselves. If they are both negative, the risk is nil.
I would question the legality of the person who released the footage to the Sun....this was on a government site and legally it shouldn't have happened.... Now could it have been Dom inspired???

As to Hancock, it's simple - he broke his own rules and advice and put himself in a totally untenable position. The situation may be deepened as there are accusations of further 'preferences' involving NHS contracts to Mrs C's lobbying company and one owned by her brother...

As to his relationship with Mrs C, the Telegraph implied that this had been going on since Uni days, so I don't think Mrs H was quite in the dark as many have made out - a bit of a Prince Charles/Camilla situation perhaps??
Some people have a very odd idea of what a "work bubble" should permit!
DT I would award the person who got the footage a medal.
It has to be an employee in his office. Shouldn't be too difficult to track down.
Cummings has a big chip on his shoulder also, and i would suspect he's known about them both for some time, but when your in the fold you keep your mouth shut.
Yes, usual government tactics. When somebody exposes law breaking, deal with the whistleblower as a priority.
Apart from that, surely it's important to know whether hidden cameras are authorised or planted in Government Office buildings?
I am assuming that the camera was part of the normal security system. If it was unauthorised then that has very serious implications.
It's quite possible that reports that it was hidden in a smoke detector are false, I'm prepared to accept that.

I do hope that angle is investigated properly.
Haven't read all of the posts but do think from looking at the photo - he knew he was being filmed. Don't ask me why but just do. I do study body language and that was one. He wanted to go.
Gosh.
