I'm not a dog lover particularly, but this seemed a sweet way for best friends to spend one last trip together before saying goodbye. To the rather heartless (usual suspects) among us, I will blow a long and heartfelt raspberry at.

I can empathise with this relationship and I can even understand the journey, but this is between man and pet.
What ihave great misgivings for, is that this is a publicity stunt by the owner and has little if anything to do with an empathetic farewell "treat" for the dog.

We are living in a world of mediocre exhibitionists highlighted by a multiplicity of such on AB posters.

Sqad, reading the article, the man and his late pooch had been on many similar "adventures" together, and this seems a genuine act. I guess only he knows if your suspicion is right or not.

Mozz...I agree, ihave no doubt that it was a genuine act, but my concern is why sensationalise it when it is a very personal relationship.

I prefer to think it was an act of kindness from a man who thought the world of his dog. There's a lot of them out there (thankfully).
