A bucket of water is about 2 gallons (or 10 litres). And it will weight approximately 20lbs (or 10kilos).

Work it out yourself.

One litre of water weighs 1 kg. 1 litre is a the volume of a cube of 10 centimetres on each side. So measure the bath and work out how many tens of centimetres there are in each direction. Then multiply the three numbers to get the volume. The volume in litres will be the mass in kilogrammes. Do a bit of a guess to adjust for the curvy bits.

For example, my bath is c. 50cm wide x 140 cm long x 25 cm deep which equals 175 litres which is about a sixth of a tonne, or c. 25 stone.

presents? xmas lists, my boy you need to remember the gnomes keep a book on all of you, and the good marks have to beat the bad marks. have you been bad, think hard now, im sure if the list is not receiving the answer you wanted it must be down to the marks, then of course, it could be the glasses of brady,sherry, wiskey having some thing to do with it, you know what its like, so mutch to do so little time, so far to travel, and all those mince pies and drinks, well you just cant leave them now can you.

Find a 2 gallon bucket and time how long it takes to fill it
from the cold water tap in the bath..Remove and continue filling the bath without touching the tap: make sure the plug is in in!
Time how long it takes to fill the bath.
eg,
if it takes two minutes to fill the bucket and twent y minutes to fill the bath then the bath holds 20 gallons of water, A gallon of water weighs approx 10lbs, therefore total weight of water is 200lbs.

you guys are so knowlegable, it must be the lonley mights with nothing to do, perhaps as i only work one day a year i should take a science degree on the open university, it might help with the old sleigh speed as well.
