morning everyone, i hope today finds you well and that whatever your day brings you it's all good. I will be calling the GP today as my sciatica if that is what it is, isn't loosening up and perhaps need something else to ease the pain i am in. I have tried the codeine but that has unwanted side effects. Anyway let us not dwell on that, it will get sorted. Does anyone have anything planned for today? Isn't this week going quickly, we will soon be at the end of August, and a Bank Holiday next week, where does the time go...

morning Chip... have a good day
I painted my fence between neighbour and I yesterday but unfortunately he had "highered" the fence with like crissy crossy woods - OMG - literally took me a day to get into all the nooks and crannys - looked out of the window there and there are some spots left which I will do today but need to finish off the big planks anyway. Then there is the dog's kennel and and the yard door. I was blinded by the sun yesterday so had to keep coming into house etc which probably kept me back.

Emmie - regarding your sciatica - really nothing helps - only time - it does take about 8 weeks and painkillers don't do anything. It will just go away in its own time. Good luck with that.

My friend who is in Swindon - her family all packed to go to Weymouth yesterday got a last minute call to say - they couldn't go because of a Covid outbreak in the hotel - think she was looking for somewhere else. So a lot of disappointment there.

DTC - never heard about as many as you talking about your ablutions - you must be the cleanest man on earth LOL

morning JJ
yes - sorry Emmie - never up ever as early as that but so many hurtful things on my mind - and I just don't know what to do.

I want to yell, scream, holler - I'm not quick or bad tempered but that is a thing I could never do and never would. My mother wouldn't tolerate it - in fact she never could scream either. I feel all this repressed screaming is making me worse and probably if I had the nerve to scream - it would take a lot out of me.
Question Author
can you find a quiet space and go and have a good scream/cry or whatever is causing pain.
no it wouldn't do any good as a big confrontation needs to happen and sure I haven't got the balls to do that either.

This is by the by - I remember being in houses where the women of the house - is swiping all the ornaments off the fireplaces in a bad temper. Another lady (cos there was arguing of dishwashing). Filled up a basin with the dirty dishes and smashed them up against a wall. Another whose husband didn't like the dinner - wife threw it up against a freshly painted wall. And another man hit his wife with a wee saucer, wife hit him with a dinner plate. Nah not for me. LOL
god Emmie - you got my life story - at this time of the morning too - cos I don't usually talk until about 10 am. LOL
Good morning. I'm still smiling and that's enough for the moment.
