First Mot
Hi my Hyunai i40 is due its first ever MOT next month , do I have to have this done at a Hyundai garage as they have rung 3 times asking me to book it in.

Get the MoT done by a third party - not the dealership (who actually have an interest in *not* finding any warranty issues).
Get it done at least a month before the warranty expires, to give time for any remedial work to be done by the dealer.

I agree with Sunny Dave - if an independent garage finds a fault you can still take it to the dealer for warranty repair. If your warranty is mileage as well as age dependent, make sure you have an MoT just before the mileage limit, if it occurs before the 5 years - OK, you will lose time on your Mot but you might need something done that can be done under warranty.
You can have it done at any place you choose.
