^^^ ;)
Sue Radford , mother of the UK's largest family is quoted as saying she gets through 70 rolls of wrapping paper!!!
I will be giving money to most of my grandchildren and if I have to wrap any I will recycle the bags from last year that I got my presents in.
As we are all pretty much grown up, we do the tissue and decorated gift bags - as we exchange each year they get recycled.

Saves a lot of waste.

We ( family and good friends) keep cards from year on year and reuse them
I have used gift bags for more years than I care to remember. No hassle, just pop the gifts inside and then selotape the top closed, so no-one can peek inside !
I used to put a small tree ornament on each present for use by the recipient the following year

I’ve done it before too BS
Bit of red sealing wax too, Boobi? Lately I've made Morsbags and used those so they can be used for shopping. Men get their gifts in bags made from shirts...collars and a pocket included for fun.... :-)
I've done similar with dangly decorations made from sequin waste, Calmck. Recall the mother-in-law opening hers and binning the lot......... :-(

Haha, when I wrote my post re brown paper and string , my mind went to that red ceiling wax that was used in the 40s/ 50s
I've only gotten as far as thinking about what to get DD and her partner. I'm looking for something copper for their new kitchen, and hit on the idea of antique utensils...or some decorative plant pots. I'll also get her some makeup/bath coconutty bits, and possibly a gift voucher from her favourite clothing shop...to use in the sales. Wrapping? That's late next month.
Wrapping done? I haven't even thought what anyone might like yet.

December is my time for that. Got to decorate the brown paper and make the cards first.
^^Got to decorate the brown paper^^
How??
Christmassy linocuts printed onto the paper.
Little christmas tress; bows and bells; snowmen, etc. Nothing complicated and same pattern all over.
Oh you can have fun with poster paint and a potato, Sharon. ;-)
That would work nicely with stencils also. Use up paint sample pots.
I always put pressies in a big sack for daughter, SIL and 5 grandkids. I take it round Xmas eve for them to open in bed in the morning. I have aleays wrapped and labelled them but this year I am putting them in in labelled so they can choose their own. Could cause arguments but ok. I have chosen the correct amount of male and female oriented gifts.
We always go round later for Christmas dinner, exchange of pressies and games.
