I have a Christmas card that is 86 years old. It was my brother's first Xmas card from two maiden aunts.

It is a pop up card and Santa pops out playing the piano with little children and a dog and presents popping out too. It's lovely.

I still have my Chad Valley little wooden duck

[Chad Valley was sold and ceased trading because the land it was on was more valuable than the works - a functioning profitable company put onto the Dole = unacceptable face of capitalism, heath 1973)

I have a Christmas Card that was sent to my Great Grandfather in 1914 during World War One. It is getting a bit yellowish now so I am condisering having it put in a frame to protect it.
When I was teaching, a parent that I had gone to Primary School with, brought me in a card that I had sent to her 60 years ago. I was amazed that she still had it
chad valley brand still exists
It's changed hands a few times.

//The company was taken over by Palitoy in 1978.

The brand name was bought by Woolworths in 1988 and remained in use until that company's insolvency in 2009. Home Retail Group, the parent company of retailers Homebase and Argos, purchased the brand for £5 million in January 2009. The Chad Valley brand is now available exclusively at Argos. In March 2016, Sainsbury's bought Home Retail Group for approximately £1.4 billion and Chad Valley became a brand of Sainsbury's.//
