Besides as Omicron has only just got established pushing up infections fast it is tooe arly to lead tp deaths and as been linked to one death so far. The next 2 weeks should show whats happening. Infections will no doubt rise quite a bit but hopefully hospitalisations and deaths wont follow, but the booster is the key to saving lives and beds in January, so hopefully we can relax in January or Febuary
// Deaths always fall on a Monday. //
This is true, but in fairness to TTT I assumed that he was comparing to last Monday's figure, which saw 41 deaths recorded as opposed to today's total of 38. However, such a small chance is essentially meaningless; it would be better to say that deaths are unchanged, since the rolling average has remained at around 120/day for a fortnight now.

// I think you should leave the unvaccinated alone. Very soon as far as having a life most of us will once again be unvaccinated.//
AB leads the way in posts that make no sense - perhaps I wear the crown for that.
a) it is meaningless - - most likely option
b) mutation is so fast that it will outrun the vaccine and an infection in a punter will be as tho that punter was unvaccinated
c) not a clue - I think I can do that in latin - sine pensu

A spokesman didn't say " the victim had endured unimaginable hardships to cross the channel after travelling from the African continent. After catching TB and Ebola from his fellow travellers suicide was his way out after finding that he would not be moved into the Ritz with virgins at his beck and call. The deadly virus was identified at the costly post mortem. We urge you all to panic needlessly and to mingle freely with all new arrivals rather than alienate them"

"As hospitalisations and deaths lag behind infections by about two weeks, Mr Javid said the country could "expect those numbers to dramatically increase in the days and weeks that lie ahead". Why should it, how does he know?
No expert but I am surmising that past data and experiences over the last 22 months pieced together by health and medical experts have given them the tools to make fairly accurate predictions about the pandemic which they have subsequently furnished the health secretary with
Just a hunch though
Do not take my word for it

Well they've largely failed to do so with any degree of accuracy or usefulness up to now. What's changed?
