Sue Gray, is heading an investigation, to see if there were illegal parties at Downing St during Lockdown ,and did Boris know about them and did he attend them This investigation is going to cost the Tax payer thousands of £s and probably take months. Everyone knows the parties took place also Boris knew about them and attended them .
So why waste public money on an Inquiry or is this just the Con Crony Club milking the Taxpayer again

she is employed in the civil service
hence the griping about independence

say that it takes 6 h of her valuable time - or 60
then that time COULD have been used doing something less dopey ( more productive is the usual word)
this is called an opportunity cost

Sorry to disappoint you but as an in-house job it will cost virtually zilch, & she will have the report ready by next week.
I can tell you now it may say B. was a little bit naughty, but it won't be enough to make him consider his position, & it will require about 50 back benchers to write letters of no-confidence to call for a leadership challenge, the estimate is that so far there have been probably four.
