Should I invest in a Chambers given that the online version is useless?

I worked with paper versions for many years - wearing them out in the process - but for the last few years I've used the Apple versions of the Chambers App (not the web-based 'online' version).

I can recommend the iPad/iPhone app but (if you have an iMac) then the MacOS version is even better as it allows 'full text' searches on the whole dictionary - rather than just the headwords.

Android/Windows apps also exist, but I've no personal knowledge of those.

I use the Android version on an old phone which I keep for the purpose. It covers most things

I'd buy one for the sheer pleasure of handling the book itself. I've had four over the years - all wonderfully helpful.
