I’ve been advised to wear shoes with a very flexible sole, not like my current trainers/walking shoes, which have a very rigid sole that doesn’t bend at all, or very very little.
I’m ok with the shoes/ankle boots I currently have as they’re pretty much all Clark’s or Hotter, very comfy, and very flexible.
What I’m looking for is some sort of trainer or walking shoe type of thing, for mud or sandy terrain, with a waterproof (or at least shower proof) top and a soft, flexible sole, and have hit a blank.
Sketchers have some very comfy ones but they all seem to have a mesh material top which isn’t waterproof, I’ve just bought two pairs from Costco, very, very comfy...but not in the least bit practical in bad weather.
Any ideas??

All my normal footwear is comprised of Hotter and Skechers, but I do understand what problems there are with walking boots and shoes. I have severe arthritis in the bones in the top of my feet and need flexible soles, but firm uppers which stop those bones moving about. My old walking boots were great but I can't remember the brand.
Have you tried Berghaus? Expensive but one of the best brands.
