The Postie Is Late!

It's heading up towards midnight but I've still not received all the sacks full of Valentine's Day cards that I've been expecting all day. Do you think that something bad could have happened to the postie? I really hope that struggling with all those cards hasn't given him a heart attack!

The gifts have been going the other way today, Susan, because my beloved Moonbeam, Tablo and Chequers are 8 YEARS OLD today! (Doesn't time fly!) They've been feasting on lots of different types of cat food, plus a chicken breast I cooked for them this evening, so I hope that they've enjoyed their birthday.

None of them have looked particularly impressed when I've sung "Happy Birthday" to them all for the umpteenth time today though ;-)

Had the same problem, Chris, but postie turned up early doors today with the usual 3 sacks full of Valentine cards and explained that he couldn't deliver yesterday as he couldn't get out of his house because of all the Valentine cards behind his front door. The guy's almost as popular as me :-)

If your postie doesn't leave his house until after his colleagues have delivered all his own mail, Ken, it's no wonder that you get late deliveries!
