Since you get shorter as you grow older and your ear lobes continue to grow until you die, if life expectancy continues to increase at some point our ear lobes will be rubbing on the floor.

I seem to have got taller as I get older.
Whenever I have to get down onto the ground, or pick anything up, and then get up again, the ground is a hell of a lot further down than it used to be.
Ergo, I must be taller. :-)
