You, and others may find me annoying, but if I worried about every stranger on here who harbours negative views about me, what I say, how I say it, or even how long it takes me to say it, I would have stopped posting a long time ago.

There are people on here whose opinions matter to me, and whose views on threads I value.

And there are some people whose views on anything and everything, including myself, are less than dust in the wind.

Those of you have posted on this thread can work out which section you belong in.

If you care, obviously I don't.

Personally, I have not the remotest interest in 'having the last word' - far less the preoccupation that some on here happen to feel the need to express with tedious regularity.

I post what I feel like, when I feel like it, exactly the same as everyone else.

If no-one posts after me, then I will have 'had the last word' - but that is be default, not design or intention.

If I have finished exchanging views, and someone else posts after me, then they will have 'had the last word

This may be 'the last word' - it may not, I could not care less either way.

You and I know full well that the chances of any public figure reading, and indeed caring, about any of anyone's views of them on here, are less than infinitesimal.

And if I thought that either Ms Hunniford or Ms Vorderman were likely to read my posts about them, I would not be voicing them in anything like the language that I use on here - it is strictly for our small community only.

But other people are aiming their rudeness directly at me personally, and their only point and reason is the sure and certain knowledge that I will read it, and they hope - in vain of course - that I will be affected by it.

That is an entirely different circumstance that the one you are trying to weave out of nothing - again.
