I have this mount and it has been brilliant

Problem is the holder now sags whilst in use, making it difficult to see the screen. The holder is supposed to be moved up and down to make sure it is in the right position for the driver but it doesn't hold that position.
Any idea of a fix before I spend money on a replacement?

If you have it stuck to the windscreen could you try it on the dashboard instead? The different angle could make the friction work again. If the dashboard won't accept a suction fix you can get this sort of thing from Halford's which is a site cheaper than a new mount:

Thanks for all your help, folks. It is fixed. I realised the small nylon/plastic tab off a phial of eyedrops was a perfect fit to go in the back of the cavity and it should be hard wearing enough to last a few months at least - and plenty more where that came from.
Thanks again - I knew I could rely on you :)
