He may not have been the best PM ever, but he was undoubtedly Labour's most successful- three times PM on the trot. Something Brown, Miliband, Corbyn and Starmer could only ever dream of. Think it might be a while before they put up any statues of him up in Baghdad, though.

I pointed out nothing of the kind. Accusing Bair is not exonerating Thatcher.

The Falklands war saved Maggie from being on one-term wonder. She didn't commit the U.K. to an illegal war like Blair, but she definitely profited from war.
