Facebook Messenger On Samsung Phone

or rather lack of! For the past few weeks I am unable to get messages on my phone from facebook contacts. I have tried to instal the app but it just keeps spinning round and not installing. Any suggestions?

Try turning your phone off, waiting a few moments and then restarting it before another attempt to install the app.

If that doesn't work, try clearing the cache and data from Google Play Store before another attempting at installing the Messenger app. See 'Clear cache & data from Google Play Services' here:

If still no joy, try clearing the Facebook cache before yet another attempt. Go to Settings –> Apps and notifications –> See all apps and tap Facebook. Open Storage and cache and select Clear cache.

Tried all that, still got a spinning logo.

Just scrolled down and found this - the beta programme for this app is currently full - no idea what that means!

It appears to mean that you're trying to install a 'beta' version of the app (which is one that's made available to some users to try out and then report on any faults), rather than the regular version.
