As it's Father's Day we went o daughters for dinner. All five of grandchildren did dinner.they did so well. Roast lamb, roasties, cauliflower cheese, peas and sweetcorn, thin green beans in a herby and tomato sauce, carrots and gravy. Apple and banana crumble and a hot cross bun bread and butter pudding I made and took along.
All the children made cards for OH and he got a pack of assorted beers.
We had a great time, lots of lovely natter and a few wines to boot!
Yes it was great thank you.
OH goes off on his holidays tomorrow, he's going to Torquay until Friday. I treat his holidays as one for me too, being on my own is different, I eat what and when I want. I'm out for dinner with friends on Tuesday. I also have the lunch club I organise for the U3A on Wednesday. Only got 26 members coming this time. We are struggling getting the membership back up after the pandemic, but hopefully it will improve in the coming months.
