Our kitchen/dining room is very long. I was WhatsApping with family at the far end and heard a noise. Ignored it til it got closer. Looked around and there was foxy white tip staring at me.
Dave came through and followed foxy outside.
Foxy didn't go far and is quite bold but much as we'd love a friendly fox it won't be good to let him/her get used to humans....sadly.
It's a beautiful animal though... :-)

Doesn't seem to be, Hoppy but maybe it's because the two we have visiting are very young. Perhaps as they grow they will pong.

In my corner bantering on Sharon's thread when there's a god awful noise. Dave fallen down stairs carrying a tray of ???? No!
We have to deal with our own rubbish here. In utility room three lined tubs.
Foxy had been in and taken a liking to the cans tub and ran off with the liner full.
Utility room, patio and field now scattered with empty cans of Guinness, sardines and beans.
Dave has been sent to gather.... :-)

It's really unusual to have them be quite so bold in the country. Because there is so much natural prey about their contact with humans is minimal. We hear them all the time but do not regularly see them.

But how lovely to have them. Altho perhaps best to discourage them as a house guest.

Get Dave to pee around your back door. (Not too close and outside. Obviously).

We were worried about how bold this one seems, BM. We've not encouraged it at all and don't want it to get used to human contact. Seems to like Dave. He was sitting outside gazing at the clouds and foxy came up close to him.
I don't think...get Dave to pee around your back door...sounds right in anyone's head!

Hope not, Hoppy...our boiler is outside the back door. Bad things could happen and I need hot water.

I'm a farmer's daughter with slightly more wine inside me than is sensible so it sounded right to me.

Mind you when our neighbour was heavily pregnant, I told her dad "Not to worry, I was brought up on a farm and have watched "call the Midwife". I do not think he was reassured. My internal monologue should not be allowed out. :)

I'd swap one crazy midwife obsessed with searching for head lice for a farmer's daughter who'd watched Call the Midwife any day.
