Thought they would be cheaper to run than using my electric oven but just taken my monthly readings & it's double!?

i would have thought that taking monthly readings is an incredibly imprecise way of working out what 1 appliance uses

Has anything else changed? Using aircon, fans, changed the way you are heating your hot water? Doing more laundry?

Just trying to identify where you extra consumption could come from

Always take monthly readings & billed monthly. Only other thing I have used more of is electric fan?

Electric fan - perhaps 75 Watts

13 hours per day = 1KW = 30p = £9 per month

Air Fryer 1200 Watts

1/2 hr per day = 0.6Kw = 18p = £5 per month

I rang my supplier in the end & they have charged me on my NEW fixed rate which starts 1st Sept. I asked why & they said because I agreed the NEW tariff 5 weeks ago it starts then!!! Told them I will be taking this further!!

So have you used double the amount of electricity according to your monthly meter readings? The price doesn't affect the readings
