Crutch

My neighbour lent me her crutch but as usual have not been using it much.

However just out of my acupuncturist and she said if I could walk a little bit more with the aid of a crutch I could find some improvement.

My neighbour won't be in any hurry to get this back but you never know - she is 83.

I am looking to buy my own and just wondered are there any "good" ones out there.

thanks Anne - at least he did say it was arthritis but an x-ray will tell whether it is mild, moderate or really bad.

Locum first time meeting him - lovely guy and in a track suit LOL

Glad you're getting the X-Ray, but he didn't confirm that you needed a new hip, as the receptionist had told you?

no Barry no hips - just the two knees. He reckons I will be sent for x rays pretty soon enough but you know - that will only confirm that I have the arthritis.

I do miss being pretty agile. Was in cousin's earlier on - mind you her suite is extremely low - she is a tiny person - but I had to get her to help me up.

JJ sorry I have not been able to respond before now due to my own health.
Have you contacted bennedon yet, you could get X-ray and diagnosed by them in a jiffy

ah thanks RH - no I'm happy with the doctor/locum - He is confident I will get the x-ray quite quick and I do recall some years back - I had gone into the doctors with horrific shoulder pain and she sent me right up City Hospital from the doctor's surgery for the x-ray. I do think he has put urgent - but sure I can wait for another few weeks.

I am also back on the road again as car was in garage for a few days last week and this week so life is a little easier.

I am sorry to hear you are not well yourself - hope you get better soon.

JJ why would you not use your bennedon privileges?
You pay for it and using it would be a quick way out of pain!
