I have noticed how often people use the word incorrectly.
Your diet is the food and drink you consume for nourishment.
Dieticians are not confined simply to help people lose weight - some people have to gain weight whilst others may be advised of a suitable diet to help them alleviate problems with illnesses or other conditions.
I suspect some people could do with thinking about what they eat and drink.
submitted too soon. she was writing a letter to a friend many years ago and was trying to describe that her friend's husband was in the Corporation - so she gave up and just said he is on the bins.
My experience is much the same as Ken's. Too fat, too sedentary, developed type 2 diabetes, lots of meds, threat of insulin injections pushed me into massive weight loss through diet and exercise. Diabetes reversed.
I am still on a healthy diet and will be for the rest of my life.
Old word is regimen - - and why did the C18 physicians fiddle with regimens ( regimina - reg-gee minna probably) ?
they knew it wouldnt harm the patients unlike a lot of other popular treatments
I have put about a third of it back on, Naomi. Perversely, that was because i became too busy with work. Last thing i wanted to do after a hard day's graft was to come home and go out for an hour's walk or do an hour's exercise indoors. Now that i'm (more or less) retired, i aim to shed that which i have regained.
The diabetes has not returned, though:-)
My mother was an excellent cook, both at home and work. I've always loved cooking, mostly pies & cakes and eating them..I didn't have the nic name Fatty Ma in my school years for nothing.
