What was it fell on the floor during funeral yesterday ? Did some on lift it ?

A card dropped on the floor of the cathedral and was caught on film. Don't recall anything else.

I read that the person who dropped it was organising glasses and other things in his grasp...and dropped whatever it was.

Eh? Why did I call it a cathedral? D'oh! I, of course, meant Abbey ;o)

I think one of the tv hacks called the abbey a cathedral
and the second hack in waiting said, demurely
Yars you can see the cathedral between the buildings a mile or so away

I wondered whether he had managed to drag it back discretely using his foot (and hide it under his robes) but it was too far from him to do that so I think that he or someone else must have picked it up off camera. He must have been mortified.

I thought that it was a small piece of paper floating down to earth to show that even in such well organised occasions a little distraction did not take away for a beautiful service .

i had to laugh when the first religious person started to speak and had to clear his throat, yes the guy who dropped the card was trying to adjust his glasses which his head gear was interfering with

I was hoping the words for what he had to say later weren't on it. Perhaps Princess Charlotte could have discreetly nipped across and picked it up for him. It had gone by the end of the service.
